Stefania Sparacino
Managing Partner / Interior Designer

Raised with an older sister and brother in Los Angeles, California, Stefania Sparacino has spent the last 15 years in a variety of positions in the Chicago restaurant scene, culminating in her ownership position in both Traveling Fare, a full-service catering business well-known to the city’s social set, and in Sparacino’s Ristorante, an intimate Italian restaurant. While attending Hinsdale High School, Stefania Sparacino toyed with the idea of making acting her choice of professions. One of the things that drew her to this profession was the social aspect of being part of a theatre production. Years later, the same determination and charming personality that made her a hit with the theatre crowd made her highly successful in the competitive hospitality industry.

While studying for a psychology degree at Loyola University, she was asked to join the front door staff at Topo Gigio, then as now one of Old Town’s most popular Italian restaurants. Her easygoing, enthusiastic demeanor was an immediate hit with the Guests, and her ability to keep the dining room moving in spite of the constant crush of people won over the management. So sought after were her skills in the important front of the house, that she juggled stints at other popular River North and Gold Coast nightspots, including Narcisse and Domaine.

In 2001, the Sparacino’s opened their namesake Chicago restaurant to rave reviews from the local press. In addition to the wonderful food, there has been much praise for the warm embrace that Guests feel when dining there. Much of that can be directly attributed to Stefania’s natural sense of hospitality and her ability to make all Guests feel like a member of the family. Sparacino’s Ristorante, closed in 2008, formed the bedrock of the successful PROSECCO operation and the delicious food and wine and warm hospitality it was known for continues to this day at 710 N., Wells in River North’s Gallery District.
